Hi,

I bought this speaker to replace the speaker on a Mesa Boogie Subway Rocket, that sounded to boxy and nasal to my ears. With the greenback, the sound is much fuller in every sense, more good bass (not blurry bass), more rich and beautiful mids sand nicer highs. The nasal character has gone and instead it has a beautiful vocal tone when using the distortion channel that i really love. The sound now has a tasteful british character too (it was a bit insipid before). I sounds a lot like a good vintage 12 inch speaker to my ears (I am not an expert in speakers though), and I cant be happier.

I have been playing guitar for more that twenty years, I play pop, rock, country, blues, metal… and think I am getting to the point where I can distinguish "good tone" (guitar technology has evolved so fast that everything sounds really good nowadays) from outstanding real tasteful guitar+amp+finger, and a good Celestion speaker in a good tube amp is a good step in that direction. The 10 inch Greenback is no exception.

The service from Lean Business was outstanding, really fast, and prices are the best around Europe (if you buy to US shops, shipping cost usually ruin the deal).
